Easy DIY St. Patrick’s Day Garland

March 10, 2021

When we finally made it home from the hospital with Arden, I told Brodi, “Every holiday is now a celebration!” and I wasn’t joking. I want to cherish every moment, and hold onto all the memories that we create at home. So naturally, Christmas is no longer the only holiday I decorate for. I love making small seasonal or holiday changes to our home. So as St. Patrick’s day approaches, I wanted to do something that would give us a touch of St. Pattie’s Day festivity, allow me to get some adorable photos of Arden, and also NOT look tacky. That last one can be tough. A lot of the St. Patrick’s Day decor I see on Pinterest lately is so tacky. Most of it is just way too aggressively green for my likes. I wanted something a little more understated and simple. Thus, my easy DIY garland was born.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Download the tracers or create your own.
  2. Cut out your tracer templates, and use them to trace your shapes on your card stock of choice.
  3. Cut out your new shapes.
  4. Cut a length of yarn. You can make your garland as long or as short as you want!
  5. Fasten your shapes to the yarn. I simply used tape and fastened the yarn to the back of the shapes, but you could also punch holes.

And voila! You now have some cute, understated garland to spice up your home for St. Patrick’s Day!

XO, Rayel
